I was looking for the price of a 1942-S Jefferson nickel in a PCGS holder graded MS66FS an a 1950 nickel MS66FS? I looked up the price on PCGS price guide, is that accurate?

  • The price on the 42-S is too high. I haven't been watching the price on this
coin lately. The war nickels are popular, but with 32 coins graded 66FS and 4
at 67FS, I would guess somewhere between $100-$200.

The price on the 50-P is probably too low. With 4 in 66FS and 1 in 67FS, I
would expect this coin to sell for more than $650. How much more is hard to say.

I was actually surprised these weren't further off. The PCGS Jefferson prices
are way off on many issues, but it looks like they may have updated some of
    these prices recently.
