What's the most cost-effective and safe way to ship a slabbed coin?

    Depends on value.
Low value, I use a bubble mailer with the coin in the corrugated safe-t-mailers.
Mid value, I use priority box and safely wrap the coin inside.
High value (above $1000 or so) I use a box and registered mail....comes out cheaper on the insurance side.

Just sent $4000 worth of platinum sets from Wa St to Fl (Moderncoinmart) on Wednesday for less than $30 that way.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

If it's heavy flat Rate box or Flat Rate Envelope I put a box in the Envelope and tape it close if one slab 00/Bubble Mailer.

    Hoard the keys.
  • I use a bubble mailer, Corrugated Sat-Mailer, then I use the mylar flip that holds 2 coins and cover both sides of the coin that is in a 2X2. That way there isn't sticky residue on the 2X2.

Also, NO TAPE on coins, you'd think it was a no brainer but it happens. Also, make sure to include a packing slip or at least a item # or identifier, some folks like myself buy many multiples from many different sellers. Nothing like getting 5 identical dates/mm's in blank packages and have to sort them out using auction pictures from 2 accounts. Some peoples kids, huh?

There, those are my buyer pet peeves

At the very least a mid size bubble mailer.

Not to small, may get lost, or stuffed into someones pocket.
