Quarterly Submissions ?

With 1/1 in a couple days when does PCGS usually announce the quarterly 'freebie' submission? I saw it's seated for 4q07, curious if 1q08 is in the know yet.

Too soon. They wait until after the quarter starts.

We usually find out a week or two into the next quarter. No, not a bad question, just probably won't know the answer for a few weeks.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

I don't recall sending in one quarterly submission this past year. I didn't have a single coin that was fit the bill. image

Carol said it was a US or world gold coin. She also said the website update was still in progress. I suppose it will be limited to a value of $3K or something like that.

I think the $5 fee is waived for free services like the quarterly special and annual voucher submissions. Not sure, but I seem to recall also for reholder service. Haven't used that one though.

Thats why I would try the freebie. image

It's not as bad as it looks in the photo. Its only near the top so not sure if PCGS would consider it a rim ding.

The size of the image makes it look worse. Looks like a pass to me but is one of those cases where it all depends on who looks and their mood I bet.

  • Awesome! This is great news!
  • Cool!

I've got a 1912 Canadian eagle and a half eagle that I didn't want to pay World Gold prices on! I'll have to figure out which is better to submit first.

    Any thoughts?

    Edited: grammar crap!

I'm still trying to decide what is better to submit...

    An 1875 s $20 Lib XF45
    An 1882H $2 Newfoundland AU58
    An 1870 s $2 1/2 Lib VF20
Or crossover the 1900 $20 Lib NGC MS62
  • Being new to the board, could someone explain this to me. Thank you
  • Does anyone know if this special includes American Eagle and/or Buffalo proofs?

Will PCGS accept Crossovers for this?

Also, guidelines state to mark "CC Special" on package... say I have two submission forms enclosed in the package... one for the CC Special and one for another service... do I still mark "CC Special" on there? Or should I send two packages?

I also read a few things about the value limit on the coin... where is that stated by PCGS?
