Dear Mr.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us, and we would like to earn your business. Any insights into how you search and use the site would be appreciated, as we are looking for ways to modify the system to maximize the power of our search while minimizing friction. We already have a few changes in the pipeline based on the feedback we’ve already received. I am available via e-mail, or to walk through it with you on the phone at your convenience.

Thank you,

Looks like customer service is on top of this. Go ahead and provide feedback or refer them directly to that long thread on the boards.

Same email I got. This is a good sign.

i agree the new search is worthless at first blush.
i could not make it do what i wanted in 5 minutes and have not
    gone back since.

    YES!
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

If one of those is reinstituting the old system, then do it, and forget the rest of the changes. Then take the day off.

There were some searching glitches in the old system that will be fixed in the new. If you want to figure out what a type coin was worth, say a common date No Motto seated half in 65, you had to check each date to get the recent comps. Also, if you searched for a P-mint coin, you would pull the branch mint coins for the same date.

That's a good point, that was an annoying problem in the old system - as was excluding unwanted coins in other types of searches.

no. I was used to it, but the there were drawbacks that have been addressed. Though, frustratingly so at times.
