Has this PCGS cent been switched with a lower grade?

This seller has several Lincoln cents that I would bid on, but I wonder @ several perhaps having been switched.
What do you think?
Thank You!
Ebay seller name is legal2646.

That guy has bought some ugly, overgraded coins....

Fairly obvious the holder has been tampered with. There are some weird shadows going on around the label....I'd run away from that one!
Edited to add: Well...they all have weird shadows near the label...I still think the holder has been tampered with or it's a fake holder. The S-VDB looks questionable too.

Certainly, the coin is not the one described on the label. Either the seller is blind and grades by touch - hence the wear on a once-uncirculated cent - or ....(fill in the blank).

  • OK...looks like someone broke open a holder and placed it over this coin... sort of a "poor mans" Photoshop...

Look carefully...the coin is not "in" the holder ... there is no plastic over it...
Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free image
  • Ummm.... Photoshoppe.... ??
