anybody ever think about why shipping will be 12/31 at the earliest?

don`t they already have some in stock? order something from a peon website and they ship within two days yet the mint can`t do that?

do they have the presses ready and will punch these out to order?

you would think if they had the coins at hand they could begin shipping within a week?

I think it is to check the orders for household limit compliance. I remeber the Mint stated thousands of orders for the Jefferson's Liberty were cancelled for trying to circumvent order limits.

Also gives them time to get the bulk of the orders all ready to ship at the same time to keep anyone from having an unfair early advantage. The mint has its anti-flipping program hummin right along.

I placed an orde with trouble at 1208. Didn't know if I got it. So I tried again doing long checkout and got through again at 1230. I recieved email at 1238 accepted and then cancelled me at 108. I then checked my email with member checkout and the order at 1208 went through... lucky me. Anyhow, thet must have a system in place because I ordered twice and they were busy, and yet they sent me a cancellation notice on 2nd order. I see about first 5-10000 sets being shipped out on monday. The rest probably around 12-31.
