How about a Shrunken Sackie Registry set?

You think PCGS would encapsulate and grade these? Then we could have a shrunken Sackie Registry set.

  • Man o Man, Bill. I was, let's say, hesitant, to see the scan. I thought it was going to show those Australian kangaroo sack thingies. image
  • Oh maybe they'd body bag them. You, know, altered surfaces image

  • I read the thread on the US Coin board about that guy. Pretty amazing stuff. I may just have to buy one or two of his coins.
  • Hey, CD, how about a description of the shrunk coin. Is it the same weight, does it feel denser, is it thicker, etc.

BTW, what about shrinking them AND THE SLAB!! Think about the reduced storage space!

I don't have a scale to weigh stuff this small and acurately but it does feel like it is the same weight. The coin is thicker, probably twice as thick. If you look at it from the edge you will see that the inner copper core has shrunk more than the outer layers. Yes, HD, a shrunken slab would be a great idea.

P.S. BigE you could try one of those battery operated socks to keep your Sacs nice and toasty. image
