Also, I plan on peeling the film off the cards before I put them in my binder with the bronze sets; I hope you guys don't think that's sacrilege. image

Well, both lots arrived today, but boy did I get a scare. It was raining pretty hard outside, but for some reason, the stupid mailman put the cards inside a metal lockbox outside instead of knocking on my door to deliver them to my apartment so when I went inside the box, the box (and yellow envelope) were a little damp, and I was afraid maybe the cards inside were soaked. image Luckily when I did open them, the envelope one was protected by a team bag and the box one had the cards inside a plastic case. So the cards are fine. I don't know what would've happened though had I not gotten those packages out when I did. image

Anyhoo, I'm so pleased to finally be just three cards away (listed above) from completing my 1996 Finest silver set! SILVER!!!! Now I just need the 1997 silver set and maybe even gold from 1996 and 1997 Finest. GOLD!!!!!! Gold and silver! Silver and gold!! image

Well, I finally got all 88 silvers peeled and placed in my album! image Boy do those silver cards look gorgeous unpeeled and shining in the light. SILVER!!! image Now all that's left is 1997 Finest silver and the three 1996's I'm still missing. image And from that spare Palmeiro refractor that was included, I can now understand why jmbkb4 loves 1993 refractors so much, but I'd still rather have all the 1970s Topps baseball and football sets for $20K. image

I'll be happy to list the dupes still available if anyone is interested.

  • What do you have for dups? I only have about half of the silver set.

    Hi Estil,

It makes my stomach hurt that you think I paid $20,000 for my sets. I take pride in the fact that at least 98% of all my PSA 10s were gotten in trades or through my own subs. I'd say I've probably got $2,500-3,000 in my mostly PSA 10 set and about 1/3 that in my PSA 9 and 10 set.

  • Estil,

I think you need #79 Puckett as well. I didn't see that one listed in the ebay listing.

Just a heads up from a Puckett collector.
