Ask David Hall post

Figures I missed his post today, I've only been posting here for 7 freakin years &!@%$*&# !!!!

In the very early days of the PCGS forum Rick Montgomery not only posted a lot,
he answered almost every question. But it wasn't out of generosity, it was out of desperation.
No one else posted answers to coin questions here back then so he kept the forum going.

We've come a long way since then, for better and worse.
It would be cool if David Hall came aboard once a month and Faced The Forum image

My first question would be: why is the 1865 DDR still considered an error, and not a variety, by PCGS?
It's not a freakin error! Look at it, it's a DDR. I heard this was "voted" down as a variety. Huh ????

Any other David Hall questions?
Keep them serious in nature, we owe him that much for creating this forum.

As you say, we done did that already, he was great. His participation is one the things I enjoy the most about this forum.

It appears I was also too late. I guess I picked the wrong day to be away from the shop.

It made up somewhat for the Q&A forum being allmost dead for the last six months.

    Thanks for the answers!!!!

I was most amazed that David Hall fielded the questions from the forum members(myself included) over an ~8 hour span today.

Remember he is the President, COO, and Co-Founder of CLCT, NasdaqGM.

I'm not a lawyer, but Mr. Hall could be walking a tenuous line between gov't scrutiny from the SEC and the public's need to know.

I must assume this forum, which he owns, allows him a special degree of public communication.

    JMHO.

    Thoughts?

My thoughts, though I have no idea what people are bringing up about his presence earlier today, are that HRH should not have a single worry in discussing coin matters here, which is what this board is really for. Don't expect him to participate, however relevant, stickering of slabs, business matters, legal issues, ... He certainly is quite knowledgeable about coins and his participation in some discussions would be great. I don't see the "Mint Error" as that big of an issue, though I share a siilar anal retentive view on similar matters, like those "Restrikes" that are really counterfeits.
