You half dime guys might like this one - especially for the price

Picked this one up for my Dansco 7070 and thought I overpaid until I got it in hand. The more I look the more I like. Paid $185 including shipping, but I ain't telling where.

    Damn, 185?!?!

Not bad at all for an 1836 LM7/B7 R4 in what looks to be lower mint state or high AU at worst, very eye appealing. Mind sharing your source??? image

PLease explain to me more of the obverse central surfaces. They look like they were wiped by a wire brush, although it could just be the strike.

    Nice looking coin nonetheless.

The marks immediately in front of the face in the field are metal flow lines and typical of the coin. IMO, the other lines you see on the obverse would appear to be from light circulation or mishandling.

This coin was in an ICG AU50 holder, but I thought it looked better than that. It looks as good in hand as some of the 55's and 58's I have, and the eye appeal is better than most of them.

I like it, most likely it would look even prettier in hand without massive amounts of magnification
