Has anyone else ever received their own PCGS Coin Number? I scored a Top pop VAM with it's number!

I just got the grades in on an 1896 Morgan VAM 19 Top 100 back from PCGS it has it's own number, 43871, MS63PL Pop 1/1, the second highest with a mirror finish is 43872 in MS62DM also a pop 1/0, all the others graded for the VAM 19 total 31 in MS (2 MS61, 4 MS62, 10 MS63, 11 MS64, 4 in MS65, none higher)
Would the fact that it is Proof Like and a 1/0 Population be more desirable in a Registry Set than a higher grade Mint State?

Yes. I successfully lobbied PCGS to assign a separate coin number to the 1837 issuance of the 1836 Gobrecht ['second original'] - for a time my coin was the only specimen.

I couldn't see the difference... but then, I'm not a 'perfesionel' grader

No. They are PCGS's coin numbers. I have submitted a few varieties that were recongnized by PCGS and assigned new numbers (390317 & 390316).
What is cool is not so much having a new number but having the only PCGS certified prooflike for that variety. Since that VAM is based on a feature present in the die from the beginning, I suspect more PLs will follow. I have a doubled eyelid one like that, the only DMPL....but there are surely more out there.
