It's a Venice Zecchino and you can look in the Heritage auction archives.3Mark

Not sure what happened with the double post ??
Anyway, yes, if genuine, it is a Venetian ducat. 3.5gm of .986 gold. I can't make out the legends to tell you which Doge and date. They were issued from 1274 to 1797.
