Grades in PCGS PR68DC and PR67DC are also scarce and could sell for around $750.
Some buyers are reluctant to buy these dates raw as forgeries exist including forged certificates of authenticity.
If I owned a 1983/1985 and it was in excellent condition, I would have it graded by PCGS or NGC in order sell it at the best possible price especially if I was selling it on eBay. PCGS has a real/perceived higher standard than NGC and will sell for more. (I think it is real.)
Population reports for silver pandas can be found on the PCGS site under World Coins and then China.
The coin ID numbers for 1983 are 130810 (PR) and 389077 (PRDC).
The coin ID numbers for 1985 are 130818 (PR) and 389078 (PRDC).
Be aware that some silver pandas have 7 digit ID numbers which are not included in the population reports. I do not know if this is true for 1983 or 1885. It is true for 1984 silver pandas.
Since counterfeits are so common, NGC or PCGS certification is always recommended for early date silver pandas. Most world coin dealers prefer NGC since the turnaround time is a fraction of the PCGS time.
