I have the pleasure to announce the arrival of a new baby son, Matthew Adam, born 7 hours ago and weighing 8 lbs 0 ozs and 22 1/2 inches in height.

What an amazing miracle! Praise God!

    Congrat's......................... My Birthday was yesterday, Geezzzzzzzzzzzzz..............I actually made it to 47.....LOL.... I've got 2 grandson's and a third due in Sept. Wait til the see all the neat stuff Grandpa has put up for them..........This will give me a final grand total of 6 in Sept., Now my only problem is to figure out what to leave my 3 Grandaughter's.imageimageimageimage

    1Jester has been a stalwart poster and a voice of reason here for years, and I feel moved to make this pledge: $10 towards an appropriate birth coin and urge others to pledge what they can, even if only a dollar or two. If you would like to do so, please PM me.

    If you wish, I will take on the responsibility of accepting contributions towards a birth coin. Then, years from now, Jester will have this story to relate to Matthew and how it all came about.

    I don't want to pick the coin, I would leave that up to a consensus decision. We are all usually a product of several countries bloodlines and I think it would be fun to find the perfect coin that historically ties it all together for him.

    I will also post this as a new thread as many may miss my response here.

    You folks are awesome. Thank you so much for this outpouring of warmth. I can't properly express my appreciation for your thoughtfulness.

    My wife Ewa is doing very well, thank you. Labor was 13 hours, and a bit tiring for her and the little one, but both are in great shape. Matthew is no longer purple, but a healthy rosy pink, and he sleeps and wakes up to be fed. I had the pleasure to accompany my wife during the delivery, and was pressed into service to assist. The whole event was a big shock to me, and I was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer miraculousness of bringing a new life into the world. Anyone who's been there knows what I'm talking about.

    Enjoy him while he's young. They grow up so fast. I have 5. One girl and 4 boys. Children are a blessing and a curse. Gotta love em.

    What an absolutely adorable little man! I know my babies and he is definitely an A+!!

    Congratulations again to both you and your wife...and until now you never knew how boring your life was image. Mine are 4 1/2 and 9 1/2...watch out for the 4 year old boys, they ask for little brothers. My youngest was quite upset with me when I didn't bring him a baby brother for Mother's Day this year!

    The other dangerous moment is around 5 months when they start changing enough and eating real food a little bit and you miss the 'little baby' and there is a huge urge to start another one.
