Craziest purchase I've seen in a LONG time

And by crazy, I'm sorry, but I mean dumb. A PSA 9 '65 Topps Joe Morgan went for $2,550 tonight:
Overpriced Joe
A PSA 9 '65 Morgan went for $760 on eBasy just a few days ago. And the last few before that went for $697.50, $1,050 and $999.99.
The underbidder doesn't appear to be a shill, but something fishy may be going on as this card 'sold' for something like $1,500 or so a few weeks ago and was then re-listed a few days later.

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

A Shiba Inu is a terrible thing to waste!
<< <i>Looks like it could be a last ditch effort to get an upgrade for the set regisrty awards at the end of the month... >>
As I mentioned, one went for $760 on eBay just a few days ago, so I don't think this has anything to do with the registry awards.
I guess this falls into the "relative" department...
Just imagine if you have no trouble dropping 100 bucks for a card - and then there's a guy who makes 15X more than you?
He can afford to drop 1500 and not bat an eye.
Not me BTW!
