Wanted 2004 Thomas Alva Edison Box for the UNC coin

I actually have the box and it's in great shape. I need the solar cell or whatever it is that makes the light work when the package is opened.
Thanks,
Mike

  • Say what?

    Was this something special?
  • Wanted 2004 Thomas Alva Edison Box for the UNC coin.
In 2004 the Mint put out a commemorative coin product as detailed above.
The box I refer to is mint packaging and has graphics that follows the Edison theme. What makes this packaging really cool is that when you open the lid, which acts as a door, there is a photo cell that converts sun light etc. into energy which turns on a small light bulb. Close the door the light goes off.
Very cool product by the mint, you know...Edison and his Light Bulb.
Well mine stopped working and I'd like to get the part to make it work. People that have these know what I'm talking about.
That's the best I can describe or explain.
    Hope it illuminates,
    Mike

There are 3 batteries that go in it, replace them and it should work fine. I recently bought 50 batteries this size for around $12.
