Irritating Shipping

I ordered a couple of cards from (555) and they were more of the raw filler variety that I wasn't planning to get graded. The condition of the cards were fine, but he threw them into a bubble mailer taped together and shipped them for 63 cents.

A little annoying - did anyone else ever have this experience?

This is one time the new "improved" eBay breakdown of the sale will come in handy.

  • I think the whole purpose of the new eBay feedback system is to circumvent the fear of negative feedback retalitation. Since the ratings are posted anonymously sellers won't be able to hold buyers hostage. I am guessing that in the future buyers will look more at those ratings and less at regular feedback.

I received a single PSA graded card in today's mail. It was in a bubble mailer, with a piece of cardboard on each side of the slab. The cardboard came within about 1/4" of the slab on all sides, and the seller had wrapped it all around with packing tape. The tape held the slab tightly to the cardboard, and it took me several minutes to liberate the card from the tape.

Not the same, but I appreciate the opportunity to vent. Thanks. image

I purchased some graded cards from 555 lately, and it went OK. I can't remember the details. I wasn't overwhelmingly impressed, but it was fine.

There is a way to make a very close guess at which
buyers may have left good/bad stars.

In the first round of ten respondents, each full star
    represents 2 respondents.

There are some evil variables that kick in hard as time passes,
but maybe they could be minimized.

I've made mutiple purchases from (555) over the last year and havn't had any serious shipping issues. Perhaps a touch slow at worst. He can be liberal with raw grades (especially the NRMT category) so I only go after his advertised NRMT/MT cards for my NRMT team sets

  • No matter the quanity or quality of your purchase....that is how you will receive your cards from (555)

Scotch tape, a few top loaders and a bubble mailer and done
