1984 Fleer Update Roga!

I'm kinda in a dilemma. I have this card in BGS 9.5, all 9.5 sub form. The card is great. One of the nicest I have seen. From what I can tell a PSA 10 easy.

I'm most likely gonna sell it but the problem I'm having is the last few BGS 9.5's, all 9.5 sub cards sold for under $ 1000.00. The last PSA 10 version sold for $1600.00!
Who knows if the psa 10 auction was shilled or someone needed it for the registry and that was why it sold so high.
So what to do? Do I send it in for crossover(only accepting a 10 in return) and take the chance of it being damaged in the process or sell it as is and possibly not make that much money?
Thanks

I would take advantage of Clemens being in the news lately and sell it right away if you were going to sell it.
You could always list it with a high start price on .20 cent listing days. It may take a couple tries but I would geuss someone would take a flyer.
Let someone else take the chance in crossing it over if they want for a PSA 10. What is the POP?

PSA 10: 12 sold- avg. $1516
BGS 9.5: 12 sold- avg. $992
Seems like it's worth the risk of crossing over if you're looking to sell. Since the surface subgrade is 9.5, yours most likely isn't sheet-cut. I see no reason why it wouldn't be a PSA 10. In fact, I actually wouldn't even crack it the first time just to see if PSA will cross it over. Your only risk here is damaging the card while cracking the slab, so I wouldn't mess with it if I didn't have to.

Nice research there, makes a case for submitting it to PSA to get that 10.

What if it comes back a 9, though? How much do you stand to lose?

That card is a virtual lock on cross-over--even in the holder. Unless those corners have wear or an enamel chip not visible in the scan (or the reverse is chipped up quite a bit) I can't see where anybody wouldn't assign a gem grade to that. For the $600 difference you eluded to, it is worth the attempt at a crossover. I would do so in the holder. If you could do it on-site; even better.
That's a fabulous looking card.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it.
Lee. thanks for the great info! I am gonna send it in with a minimum grade of 10. Obviously if it doesnt meet psa 10 standards(which I do believe it does) it will come back in the bgs slab.
John, I bought it a few years ago and if memory serves it cost me $1200.00 or $1300.00
