Today I got some balls...

Sims Classic Sports has got some wickedly priced autographed baseballs with GAI certs. Being the diehard Redbird fan I figured it was time that I picked up two from St. Louis legends Enos Slaughter and Stan Musial.

I'd have bought more but I don't have the balls (or cash)...

    $35 and $45 a piece plus $2 shipping.

    Stan's auto has been going for over $50 plus shipping. The Slaughter was an impulse buy, but for $36 to have an auto of the man who stole home to win the World Series was worth it I felt.

    The sigs are nice and strong. Balls are clean.

    I've been buying quite a lot from Sims over the years and honestly prefer buying from them then dealing with Ebay weasels. Guess I'm getting tired of the scams...

    I understand getting away from the scams. Although I'm not a frequent ebayer, I go on often and whenever I see old autos or wax (thanks to 80s Junkie) I cringe unless the autos have a certificate. I'd say those were some good buys. Slaughter also had over 2000 hits and won an MVP?? if I remember correctly(I finally used some of that "junk" from Baseballreference.com)image

    I met Enos Slaughter in February 2001 at a card show in Canton Ohio and I got this photo signed.

    Those are some nice balls you got there!
