OH RICKY!!!

Just had to show off what I just got out of the mailbox. My first card #'d this low. This is a 1/10 red auto 1999 Collectors Edge Supreme Pro Signatures Authentic card. What's interesting about this is that it has 1999 on it but it was issued in 2000 Edge Supreme packs. This is only the 2nd one I have ever seen and had to get it. Now if I could track down a Manning and an Arrington for a reasonable price I could finally finish off this set.

Sooner, how many cards are in the set? Congrats on being close to completing it! I've always been a set collector myself and love to see others doing the same...

In the base set there are 150 cards plus 40 rookies #'d/2000. A Hologold parallel which would be impossible to complete because 1-150 are #'d/200 and the rookies are #'d to 20(I have a Brady). An insert set called Edge Tech (the Alexander in my sig at the end) they are #'d to 100. One Parallel is titled "Perfect 10"(10 cards). These were redemtion cards. I have all of them. Four other parallels which aren't expensive but kinda hard to find all of them: named Supreme Future(10 cards), Supreme Team(20 cards) Route XXXIV(10 cards) and Monday Knights(20 cards). The final insert set is the Pro Signature Authentics Autos(I almost have all of these except some of the nobodies): Rickey Williams Black #'d/1000(have), Red #'d/10(have), Tim Couch Black #'d/650(have) Cade McNown Black #'s/1000(have), Red #'d/325, Darnell McDonald Black #'d to 230, Blue #'d/40(have), and red #'d/10, James Johnson Blue #'d/42, Black #'d/1000(have), Manning Black #'d/1000 and Randy Moss #'d/40(have). Now for the tricky part: There is a Peyton Manning #'d/300 version of the base set, a Manning auto Edge Tech #'d/50 and the Manning auto #'d/1000. These were hard to get BEFORE he won the Super Bowl. Also the kicker the Lavar Arrington cards were pulled when they realized that he hadn't signed a license. So his base and Edge Tech are NNO. I've seen 2 bases: 1 on Ebay and 1 in a Beckett Store(high book). I've seen one Edge Tech in the Beckett Store(also high book). I have the Perfect 10(THANK GOD). There are also previews of some of the cards floating around but they aren't really part of the set so I don't mess with them.

Wow! This definitely sounds like a tough set to finish. All the more to make completing it a real accomplishment!
Let us know if and when you finish it up!
Ok I admit I'm a Ricky Williams fan.
He took a year a year off and went to Grass Valley, CA (which is very near my home town where I grew up - they have the closest Blockbuster).
Also he smoked herb for his anxiety problem because the medicine they gave him was toxic crap (Paxil) that made him gain weight (among other nasty side effects). While it not an airtight defense, it is at least understandable. If he had a couple more years to be a guinea pig I'm sure they could have found a medicine that worked with side efects he could handle.
I hope he can come back and do well enough to regain some respect. (I also admit the jokes are still funny though)
I also collect the other 2000 Collectors Edge PSA sets, so if anyone has any of the Perfect 10's or others I am missing (at a fair price...they go for almost nothing on eBay) that I don't have (check registry, Mark's Cards) I would appreciate a PM.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
Do you know what product the redemption cards were inserted into? Also, you noted them as a parallel....parallel of what?

I meant inserts. I was tired when I posted that. I have all of the redemtions and the PSA ones in my sig. Only 100 of the redemtions were printed from what I understand from the Standard Catalogue of Football Cards. People were "suppose" to mail them in and they would get a PSA Gem Mint 10 card back. I don't know at what rate they were inserted at. That was just too long ago. Do you have any of the PSA's or do you just have the redemtions.? Do you have any 2000 CE Supreme Arringtons? I have the redemtion. Boy, those are hard card to get at a decent price. If you have any question regarding this set just let me know.
Ps: Sorry if I out bid you on the Williams auto card.................................................not really but it's the thought that counts.
Again let me know about the Perfect 10 cards. I might be able to help you out.
I just have the PSA's
On the registry I am...
Tied for second place on the 2000 Collectors Edge Graded Uncirculated set, with no chance of getting the 1 of 1 or 1 of 2, as MOSH has them in his set.
I am in third place on the 2000 Collectors Edge Graded High Numbers set, but will be tied for 1st with all 10's and 100% at some point. (Meaning whenever the 8 I don't have hit eBay at fair prices, none are super rare...~250 each).
In 4th place on the 2000 Collectors Edge Graded Brilliant set...but slowing moving up.
In a clear 1st place on the 2000 Collectors Edge Masters set.
In 2nd place on the 2000 Collectors Edge T3 Retail set, and slowing moving up.
And more along your line I am in 4th place on the 2000 Collectors Edge Supreme Update set.
I would move up much faster on these but I will only spend up to $5 with shipping for most of the PSA 10's and have been avoiding the PSA 9's, unless there are only 9's in existence. Still that leaves me about 130 different of these graded out of pack/box/redemption cards.
I also have pretty good runs of the 2002 UD Graded, the 2000-01 Flight Team and the 2000 Donruss Preferred BGS's. These are the cards that kind of pulled me into PSA collecting. (Now I have about 1000 mostly modern PSA 9/10's....with little focuse).
"Do you have any 2000 CE Supreme Arringtons?"
I am not sure what you mean. I do not have any base cards and I see he is not in the 2000 Collectors Edge Supreme Update set. If you mean of the Perfect 10, no. (I did not know how many there were till you said in your post....there are 10 Perfect 10's...makes sense.) Also, did these come non-graded? I saw a couple on ebay a couple weeks ago that were not graded. Of course they could have been removed from the case or have been stock from when CE folded. I figured they just came both ways in packs...but your notes of the set do not seem to say that.
On the 2000 Collectors Edge Supreme Perfect 10's PSA 10's, I just have the Thomas Jones, Chis Redmen and R. J. Soward. A Peter Warrick ended on ebay about a month ago for $1 that I forgot to bid on....dohh! Until your post, I had only ever seen Thomas Jones other then these and I have seen a lot of Jones. Perhaps this more has to do with the good to great year he had last year (my time period collecting these) then availability?
I have always gotten the feeling these cards were the red headed step child of PSA, eBay price wise at least.

Concerning the update cards: Do you collect the Update foil cards too? I looked through the few Updates that I have and only have a Northcutt Mint 9 card.
Concerning the Arrington cards: I've only seen 1 Perfect 10 graded and 3 Perfect 10 redemtion cards(I have one). Since they were pulled from production the actual population amount is unknown. So if you see a redemtion you might want to get it and have it graded on your own.
