I just won my first sniped ebay auction :)

After 8 years on ebay I decided that it was time to sign up for a snipe program and tonight I won my first auction. (2 actually both 1984 Donruss PSA 10's for less than $10.00 each)
I know that by using the program I probably spent less than if I would have placed my bid myself.
I want to thank all you guys who have recommended snipeing ...you were right and I doubt that I will ever place bids early again.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Mark, we've butted heads a few times in the past!!!
Point is, if the guy who bid $124 waited and set a snipe then the guy who bid things up would have stopped at around $45 since he would've been the high bidder and this $124 guy would probably have taken it for under $60. Instead, he lost the auction after having his max surpassed. Turns out, either way I would've lost the auction since my snipe was set at $125 but it kills me to see this other guy lose an auction at $125 when he easily could've won it at about $60.
Folks, it's not difficult, sniping saves you $$$$$!!!!!

Excellent example, Arthur! We rest our case...

Mike,
The thing that really chaps my arse is that I might have won it if the $5 Bozo hadn't gone bananas and bid it up. I had registry interest in it too. Rat farts.
As a wiser man than myself once said, "Ebay is the devil."

Also, is it spyware/adware free? =P

The example sums up exactly how non-snipers cheat themselves
out of the many bargains available.

I have no problems using JustSnipe ( link to JustSnipe ). I use the 5 free weekly snipes to help control my spending when I'm low on funds. I gladly pay the $5 per month for unlimited snipes when the cash is available!!
Let us know if you have any other questions. Other services are available, of course...which I'm not familiar with...
Congrats
