I'll agree the vintage is the best. I wish I had the Mantle/Aaron card but I don't.

As an Indiana fan who only likes the Colts and Pacers, this one I got back from PSA is a favorite of mine, not too many out there I would guess..............................

  • Definitely my favorite. These were issued in comics/magazines on a weekly basis. I'm sure there are plenty of these but all indications point to them only being released for one week.

Those 53 bowmans are always sharp looking. They have a warm light to the pictures.

This card is on ebay for the second time. I think the Mantle "M" swoops look wrong though. If it was PSA/DNA I would be bidding heavy on that card.

It's not vintage, but it's one of my all-time favorites. I loved watching these two guys hit -- especially Sir Rodney.

    I like it too Mike.

When I looked at Brett, I thought of the I-70 Series of 1985.

I had just been reassigned to St. Louis. That was a great Royals team.

    thanx for sharing

1993 Upperdeck "Giant Sticks" #476 card

Matt Williams, Will Clark and um....Barry Bonds.

Back reads "A year after the trade of Kevin Mitchell broke the Major's most productive 3-4-5 trio, the Girants forged a new heart of the order with the signing of free agent Barry Bonds to join Will Clark and Matt Williams. Bonds, the...."

1988 Topps Padres Leaders Card #699

    Tony Gwynn and Benito Santiago

Strange choice of players as Santiago was not a leader in any Padres catagory in 1987 (he was ROY though), or at least none that he would use on his resume....image

The back does show why Gwynn was elected this year. He was the 1987 team leader in batting average (.370) runs (119), hits (218), doubles (36), triples (13) and Stolen Bases (56....wow).
