Just kidding

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
There are at least two other sets listed, from 1982 and 1983, which don't even have a picture of the "white box" they come in! Also listed is a "1983 Topps Baseball Set". When you read the description though, you find out it's missing card #104, Bob Walk.
I'd shy away from these auctions, perhaps unless I could roll the dice and get this "1977 set" for $20 or so!
Caveat emptor.
The seller has not marketed this set properly (no kidding)
You just do not know what the condition is. Be worth the gamble for 40.00 bucks or so IMO.

<< <i>Hmmmm. I'd be curious why the address for this seller is New Jersey but everything in the store is listed in Canadian funds. The meta-tag even shows "Canadian Seller" when you link to the store. The seller does have a 530 (99.8) FD rating, so it's hard telling how up-and-up this auction may be.

Actually, that's just because the link provided takes you to Ebay Canada - but it doesn't make the item any less of a major-league gamble.

Definitely not! I've done a lot of business with our neighbors up north! I've just never been on an eBay Canada site before, I guess. My point was that the seller lists the location as "New Jersey" but appears to be located in Canada. Why the need for the discrepancy??

Mike, here is the sellers link. It is not ebay Canada.
LINK TO 1977 SET.
Somehow, you must have brought-up ebay.ca (ebay Canada) and the Canadian ebay site just coverted to canadian funs. But if u look at the link above it will show the correct ebay.com (USA link).

edit: WinPitcher (Steve D.) may be right? If u can pick-up this "so-called" 1977 set, for a low price; a gamble without risking lots of $$$. Risk vs. Reward?

My point was, if you click nightcrawler's link, it takes you to ebay.ca - that is why the item is presented in Canadian dollars. There are Ebay sites for several countries, that convert the prices to the currency of the country it is intended for. Simple as that.
Do you guarantee these cards are in mint condition if the box is never opened?
His response:
NO ...I can't....I never opened it since I got it from a store that went out of business....thanks

If he is truthful (I doubt it), this could be a set of 1990 Topps for all we know.
