Anyone use imageshack for photo hosting? If you do has anyone gotten a message saying that the following will remove spyware from their PC??

    do not and i mean do not use that program. I believe it was that program i clicked a link for when i was having computer programs and it hijacked my cpu and locked it up. I had to reboot in safe mode and run all types of clean up stuff to get rid of it. If you are looking for spyware removal software download adaware it is a free program for personal use and is available online in multiple places.

    I have been using Spybot Search and Destroy every couple of weeks for the last two years, works great and I have never had a problem.

    Spybot is a legit and helpful program. I'll bet you clicked on a link and got something different on your computer - it has happened to me before.

    yeah i looked pack and the program that gave me trouble was spider something.

    Just to add to the free downloads...

    I use SpywareDoctor and Lavasoft's Ad-Aware.

    Ditto on Spyware Doctor for me. I've used it for just over a year with smooth sailing so far.
