Rememer when . . .

Wes Parker made a cameo on the BRADY BUNCH?

Peter had a crush on his teacher who was (aw, shucks) dating Parker.

In the end, I believe Peter received a Dodgers' game-used pine tar rag, or something.

  • Great stuff. Wasn't there an episode with Don Drysdale? I think Greg was a high school pitcher with dreams of being a "bonus baby" after he was drafted by a team.

  • Anyone remember the Namath episode ?

The Drysdale episode showed him pitching on the Bradys' astroturf back yard.

My favorite was the Davy Jones episode. He's so dreamy.
Collector of 1976 Topps baseball for some stupid reason.
Collector of Pittsburgh Pirates cards for a slightly less stupid reason.

  • I remember when...

I almost got caught shoplifting the one and only time I ever tried it. I was about 10, went to the local drugstore with the neighbor kids, grabbed a handful of 5 cent packs of '63 Topps and walked nonchalantly towards the side door. My heart started racing when I saw one of the employees walk towards that door and ask me what I had in my hands. I started to show her when someone up front called for her to help at that cash register. She took off and so did I -- out the door! I felt so bad that I've never stolen anything since then.

Wow. What a relief. I've never told that story before and have been carrying it around for 33 years.

Oh yeah, I never watched the Brady Bunch, so I couldn't contribute any memories there. Sorry!

(btw, I love all kinds of music and have gotten into some country the last couple of years. It can really rock!)

You do know most criminals get caught after the fact because they tell people they think they can trust what they did.

Just to let you know I made a phone call. These guys will be there in few minutes.

ps dont bend over for the bar of soap

Well if it makes you feel any better, the one and only time I tried to steal something from someone, I DID get caught. (I was about 13 and old enough to know better)

Dad drove me to the house and made me return the cards, then took me home and beat my a$$.

Funny, I never tried that again either after that result.

  • More kids today need their a$$e$ beat.

Seemed to make an impression upon quite a few of the kids I knew as a kid.

Leo also had a visit from Wilbur and die hard Dodger fan Mr. Ed.

I wonder if Alston just refused to participate in this stuff, or what?
  • Too late. This guy was at the door when I went to answer the door bell.

Like black holes in the sky.
    Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the crossfire
    Of childhood and stardom,
