Shipping from Canada

A vendor sent me an item on October 2, from British Columbia. The posting was described as "registered/insured." I still am awaiting its arrival, here on Long Island in New York. Do you think that I am going to have to give this item up for lost?

Make sure you pay attention to timeframe limitations on claims due to your payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.). You don't want to be out of luck just because you waited until the 46th day from payment to file a claim...

LOL, 5 weeks for delivery a letter.
2006/10/05 11:10 International shipment has arrived in the destination country
2006/10/04 08:52 International item has left Canada and is en route to destination
2006/10/02 13:20 PORT COQUITLAM, BC Item accepted at the Post office
It is tracked to the US border on 10/5. Talk about snail mail! 20 days enroute through the US! Still, given the presumed protection, it is a cheap price to pay.
