Testing My New Scanner w/some 52 Bowmans

Just bought my first printer/scanner/copier and thought I'd post a few pictures as I try it out. I need to learn how to get rid of all the stuff to the right of the cards!

    preview, then left click the mouse and drag a line around your card. then click scan. you should get just the card then without the rest of the background.

    hope that helps -

    The quality of the scan looks good aside from the 'background' parts that you weren't able to edit out on these.

    * T. PEREZ BASIC #4 100%

  • Also, you should leave the scanner cover open when you scan cards to give more contrast to the scans. Try it, the scan of the PSA card will look much better.

    Nice scans - ditto the suggestion regarding cover open. However, with my new scanner, I was getting this strange area of whiteness through the middle of the background, not in front of the card, and out to the side. I finally realized that the scanner was shotting the underside of the cover that, while open, was above and extending over the card. So now I just place something black over the card and scan it with the cover open.

    Hi Scott

    Nice scans

    and yes, I think after scanning, on my HP, you can crop the pic by "dragging" the line around the pic INWARD till it outlines what you want finally selected.

    I agree with Mark on the background - black looks great.

    I got tired of putting the paper over the item to be scanned - so I cut out a piece and taped it to the back of the cover.

    Thanks for the suggestions guys. Probably my favorite card from this set. Someone on this board once said of this card "it's like a Norman Rockwell painting."

    WoW! Those cards are a year older than me and in a heck of a lot better condition! Sweetness...imageimage

    My only '52B is one Stone shared with me to fit into my Senators/Twins collection. It's one of my favorites so far!

    Awsome cards......, and scans image
  • Beautiful cards. The excess portion of the scan can also be cropped using Paint Shop or Photshop.
