Stuart Scott, with that scrub Sean Salisbury a very close second.

Not so much that I dislike him, but I have a real hard time taking John Clayton seriously. Not saying he doesn't know what he's talking about, but I can't look at him and take him as an expert on one of the most physical sports played today. 5'2 110 lbs. He reminds me of Mr. Mackey from South Park. The big bald head with the combover and glasses.

Edited to add - I don't like Steven A Smith - too arrogant and coc ky. Or Stuart Scott - he's just annoying.

I'll second John Clayton. He looks like an alien. He may know his football, but it doesn't look like he has EVER thrown one. Do you think he could throw it 5 yards? I don't.

To me John Clayton looks like a wimpy high school science teacher, he certainly doesn't fit the football player mold but you really don't have to have played the sport to understand it or comment on it.

I do like the four downs segments with Sean Salisbury who has an image just about exactly the opposite
of John Clayton. Both of them get their points across pretty good and holds their ground against the other.
  • Stephen A Smith is arrogant and annoying.

Sean Salisbury without a doubt...the most annoying of any espn personality.

    There's a bunch for me:

    Salisbury
    Scott
    Irvin
    Steve Young

I actually think Clayton knows more about football than Mortensen!

    In no particular order:

    Stephen Smith
    Stuart Scott
    Michael Irvin

    I like Clayton.

Michael Irvin takes the cake. He has his head so far up TO's arse and the other guys know it. The way he over-annunciates is annoying. Plus talk about over-boogin on the attire ....

    Salisbury a distant second.

I respect Clayton for what he is, a guy who does his job and does it well. Stuart Scott anoys me with his "BOOYAAA" thing, Salisbury needs to stop acting so tuff around the little guy, Irvin annoys me as well.
  • Anyone ever noticed Irvin looks high most of the time?

    Tony Reali.

The stars of the show are the reporters, he doesn't realize it.

Another note on Irvin. How come everytime he makes a point, he has to serve the question first.

"Can the Jets beat the Cowboys? No they can't!"

"Why is TO worth the trouble? Because he's the best player in the game!"

"What was I doing in that hotel room? I got lost!"

It would be much easier to make a list of who I like. There is very little quality or substance there any longer, thank goodness Peter Gammons is back.

He has lost all, if he ever had any, professionalism.

He comes across like he`s selling junk on info-mercials !

Guy gives the name Lee a bad name !

I love it that they are highly opinionated and back up their opinions with facts or something resembling facts. Woody Paige is great. Kind of boorish, reminds me of my dad.

I like the banter on "Around the Horn" and how Woody and Mariotti (sp?) needle each other on various
topics. I'm sure they get the questions several hours before hand in order to research the topics
for various stats. Nothing wrong with that as it helps to provide more information to back up their opinions
and shows who works harder to find the stuff.

Speaking of Berman - BACK, BACK, BACK, BACK, BACK!

That is the most annoying call I've ever heard.

  • Brian Kenny. He just has this cocky that rubs me the wrong way.

  • Chris Berman BY FAR!!! He is like that local weather man that has no talent, but for some reason, has remained on the air for 25 years.

He is a buffoon who makes himself the focus of attention. He is not clever nor funny, but sure thinks he is.

Ive never like the guy. I am looking for sports, not self promotion.

Skip Bayless, Michael Irvin, and Steve A Smith.

It's hard to even watch ESPN for me when any of these three idiots show up.
