So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    I know I'm looking forward to it, just as a college football fan. I read that Texas installed a $8 million godzillatron during the offseason. I can't wait to see that bad boy in action.

    The jumbotron is sick! It can show full screen or spit into two image After this round of renovations is complete ('08 I believe), it will be one of the finest stadiums in the country.

    In regards to the insults, I've begged and pleaded him to stop. There's no instigation coming from this end, only defending myself image

    Ohio State will run roughshod over texas who will be a shell of their former selves without Young.

    I hate preseason polls, especially ones based on last year's results. The teams are different, the schedules are different, and there shouldn't be preseason polling.

    You both really do suck.

    I'll go with the Ohio State University just because I'm still a little bitter about Texas' win over USC in the Rose Bowl. Really, though, it's a tough call this early in the season. Texas seemingly has more to prove but they could very well end up being better than the Buckeyes.

    I'll take Ohio State over Texas, I just don't trust a freshman QB to lead a team over Ohio State. It won't happen.

    While it stinks to have this big of a match-up so early in the season, I bet it was a stipulation when they agreed to play a home-and-home series.

    They played each other in week 2 of last year as well.

    OSU needs to figure out how to stop a damn screen pass AND a running back. Their defense was definitely shaky at times.....

    Look for JimT to have a grip on that.

    Mac Brown takes pride in the fact that we are always at the top of special teams rankings. Not to talk trash but there is no way, no how Ohio has two ST TDs.

    The pot ain't no thing but the gun is unacceptable. We will see how it plays out.

    Foster will be the replacement starter but Beasly could see most of the playing time. He was a huge recruit and ranked in the Texas Top 100 (number 8 or something).

    Go Longhorns.

    My wife is a Buckeye fan (despite being a Michigan graduate), and while I loathe the U of M on most days I think I hate the Buckeyes even more-- although I admit it's close. Last years game between these two was deeply satisfying, and I'm hoping for a repeat performance by UT.

    I heard an interesting stat on the radio today.

    Ohio St and TX are a combined 6-0 when participating in a #1 v #2 match-up.

    Texas is 4-0 and Ohio St is 2-0

    I hate to say it, but I'm truly going to root for OSU... only so that it looks better when Michigan beats them at the end of the season. I guess I usually root for the Big Ten in these match-ups anyways as it's better for the conference. Unless of course it's Michigan State, and then I will always root for the other team image

    Tough break for Texas. They really had no chance once their starting star CB got suspended for this one.

    Trying to replace Vince young is quite impossible,,, but Colt will get much better.

    that's certainly a bet in my eyes and I took it as such when we were posting to that thread.

    I am certain you would have paid him 50.00 Tom if it had gone the other way. He surely would not have said it was a joke.



    on a side note....

    the UT fans around here sure have some class. Dpoole being one of them. I called and left him a couple of friendly messages last nite during the game. He called me back after the game to congratulate.
