When's the best time to place a bid on Teletrade?

We all know about snipping on eBay but what about Teletrade? image There's a coin I am interested in tonight but have never bid on Teletrade.

As close to the end as possible. Though you risk not being able to enter a bid if the site is down or your online connection gets hosed (unless you phone it in. Yeah, people used to do that!)

Plus you won't know if you're the high bidder. After about two minutes you might, but you are not told like on ebay. Keep refreshing your track and bid screen. If it's past the end time, keep trying to bid, sometimes you'll get a late one in. If not, the system will just tell you it's over. Takes a while to get the hang of it.

  • The last 5 to 15 minutes are critical. Teletrade bidding is like the last minute and half of a close basketball game. However someone could have a maximum bid sitting there 2 or 3 bid increments above what your bidding making your bid futile.

I have gotten some good deals around year end or during a big show when a lot of them are tied up.
