What is your favorite coin you bought as junk silver?

Back in the early 1980s, when circulated silver was selling for 15x face, I found this coin in a dealer’s junk box.
The coin looked ugly and the “Pluribus” on the reverse appeared worn off. Still, not bad for 15x face so I picked it up.
And so it sat for the next 25 years, amongst circulated Mercury dimes, Washington quarters and Walker halves.
After joining this forum, I started to learn more about Bust halves. After seeing many pictures shared by other board members.
I started to feel a little differently about my crusty old coin. In fact, I saw other examples of mint state coins with a worn “Pluribus”.
I eventually decided to send it in to PCGS to get their opinion. To my surprise, despite all the crust, it did not come back in a body-bag!
My junk silver piece has become one of my favorite coins!
Anyone want to guess the grade? I will post the results later.

I found a VG 1893-0 barber half in a pile of silver I bought in 1982.
Unfortunately my wife sold it (and other silver coins) for bullion when she ran out of money while I was away at sea for 4 months.

My junk silver bust half!
This was a recent find, and it was one I needed for my mecury dime collection which I am putting together from junk silver and rolls of mercury dimes bought at or near spot value. I only need 6 more and I will have a complete set.
