Did anyone else catch this? They had a piece on the controversial raw Wagner that those two cousins refuse to have graded, and how it recently failed to get a bid at auction.
Even PSA's own Joe Orlando was interviewed extensively about it.
And I can't help but thinking, even if this IS real, it's in pretty ratty condition--PSA 1ish--so I don't understand why they think they have a million dollar card. Even real, even PSA 1, it's, I'm guessing, 75K tops.
Sorry if this was already discussed, but it was quite a good segment.

There has been extensive coverage in various papers and magazines, as well as most message boards, so I am pretty familar with the situation. Some "experts" ( who were solicited by the cousins ) feel the card is a likely PSA 4, looks to me a possible 3, but probably a 2. I believe a 1 did go for about 86K not too long ago. Regardless, this item , even if real and authenticated, is no half million dollar plus card.
The fear of getting the card graded while not allowed to be present, could be solved by using GAI, who I believe will permit the submitter to be present on big ticket items. The cousins have used non typical and realatively unknown persons to verify the card. They also have a website which offers reconditioned cell phones and sex stimulants. Makes one wonder.
What did the host of the HBO special conclude, did he give any credibility to the two "card collectors" ?? Did the hobby , overall, seem to benefit from the publicity ??
Interesting seeing Joe Orlando interviewed - I think he told it like it is.
