    I just sold a 1960 Topps something or other with a pair of the Cincy Reds on it. The one guy had a large booger on his nose. THe other examples I have still also have the same booger.

    Maybe that's what Don did there? Sneezed.

    Actually, Don was one of the first to try one of those experimental at the time mid-arm nicotine patches.

    Looks like he's pictured with one on. Unfortunately, he just couldn't keep the dam thing lit, so he kept on a smokin' image

    A little OT, but I just found this hilarious Drysdale quote and wanted to share:

    "The pitcher has to find out of the hitter is timid, and if he is timid, the pitcher needs to remind the hitter he's timid".

    I'm sure that's one of those quotes that you old timers have heard a thousand times, but I just saw it for the first time and thought it was a classic- the kind of quote that makes you want to go out and buy every one of a guy's cards.

    That is indeed the rare bird poop on the arm variation. The pesky little pidgeon sat on the backstop all day bombing away. Unfortunately for him he decided to aim his turd at Drysdale. After Don posed for the pic he threw one high and tight and it was raining feathers.
