My latest purchase, came in the mail today

I bought this on a total whim. I didn't look up its value in Krause, in fact, I still haven't looked up its value. Any opinions on grade? I will tell you, it is slabbed but I won't say by whom.

Thailand 1941 10 satang.

I know nothing about grading these.... 64 or 65? It doesn't look like there's any wear and I don't see any distracting marks. The surfaces don't seem particularly lustrous, so it might be knocked down for that.

    Do tell?

The Thai coin looks a lot like the last two that were in that set that I recently won from you, I figured that they must be aluminum ones, and they are probably 1 satangs only. What's curious about them is that the hole is filled.

Can't guess the grade on this one, but I'll guess the TPG: PCI. image

This 10 satang coin is .6500 silver and is the last silver satang. It was minted in 1941 when, after 5 hours of fighting, the Thais surrendered to the Japanese. Mintage isn't given in Krause, but I think the mintage may be low because of the Japanese invasion. Krause values it at $8.00 in Unc.

The coin is graded MS63 by NNC. I paid $11+ for it.

That coin from Thailand is pretty interesting, I need to find some exotic location like that to collect.
