What do you think this would grade?

I have a bunch of 50, 51 and 52 bowman and I have not had any graded. Most are consistent to this but I was wondering, what do you think this would grade?

  • Tough to say; I'd say a 6 or a 7 depending on the strength of the corners.

  • Little O/C. Corners a little fuzzy. I'm guessing a 6. Pretty nice for a card that old.

  • PSA 7 (on the lower end 7 scale but still a 7). I'm assuming the card is much nicer than the scan shows due to high resolution pictures showing everything wrong with the card that are eyes can't pick up.
  • that would be - our eyes. (spelling error)

    << <i>6OC?? >>

    You think 6 OC?

I don't know which is why I'm asking.

    6. I don't think OC qualifiers are given to 6s.

Might be (OC), if it is a 6.

    Nifty looking card!

Some 6's do get an (OC) qualifier if they are really off center.

I wonder if this card would get a (MC) qualifier -- the top border looks thicker on the left than on the right, so maybe it would get MC? Or, could the card be trimmed? Also, is there a wrinkle on his right shoulder, or is that just the scan? If there's no wrinkle, I'd say 7 (OC) or straight 6.

It could be trimmed, I don't think so but it could be. I'd think they'd have done a better job if they were to trim it before I got it. No wrinkle, thats a dog hair which happens to be everywhere in this damn place. Judging by PSA standards, I don't think it would be oc in a 6(80/20 or better).

I agree. Definitely not OC in a 6, but it might get an MC qualifier because of the possible "diamond cut".

  • 6OC? Dear God, we have a grader of death!

The centering at its worst is 69/31 (rhs of the card t/b), which is technically in the grey-area for an 8 NQ, but since it's off in both directions and slightly tilted, the centering would go as high as 7 without a qualifier. The corners do look a little weak for a 7, but I'd say it has a 50/50 shot at 7 NQ.

    I agree it's the 6-7 range. I don't think it would get a qualifier.

6 NQ. I get 71/29 at upper right t/b (similar to cornholio's measurement). I'd have to be convinced that the lower right corner wasn't layered before I'd think a 7 was possible.
  • 6 or 7 with the bottom right corner being the determining factor.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?
