I thought it was around 1957?

Interestingly, don't forget that Topps made a team set in 1951.

I think that this correctly answers the question!

  • I have only purchased one card from them and my experience was not pleasant. Card was 1964 Topps Stand-Up with no perforations and looked odd. Asked them for a refund and after numerous emails and eventually a phone call I got my money back. I would say the grading appears to be pretty decent, but the price points are something to be desired.

Never bought anything from them. Don't really intend to. I prefer looking for the cards I need on ebay auctions. I just posted it figuring you needed an easy to use internet reference guide since you asked about the team cards.

Southern Cards is "technically" correct but that 1951 issue was strictly team cards. In 1956 Topps first introduced team cards as part of the regular set. Why they waited until 1956 probably had something to do with the Topps-Bowman competition at that time. Of course Topps bought Bowman out after Bowman's last baseball card vintage issue in 1955.

18 of them. Only 9 different teams, but two variations of each....with or without the date 1950
    Topps Baseball-1948, 1951 to 2017
    Bowman Baseball -1948-1955
    Fleer Baseball-1923, 1959-2007

Any idea why this years Topps Heritage team cards have the fake wall in them? Is it that the batboys that usually sit in front aren't covered by the lisence agreement? It makes for unattractive cards.
