Check out D&A Just Ins

Check out Dave and Adams Just in section. Seems to be some fair prices on unopened stuff. As an example, 4 card packs of 1977 topps mexican football are 15.00 (rare), 1970 graded opc bb packs are 99.00 and there are some opc sets as well as hockey packs too. At least you dont have to fight with Ebay auctions and bad sellers if you like it. If I remember right, Thurs you get 5% off or free shipping so its not so bad. Just another outlet to do some ripping... Spazzy

I saw someone purchased a box on ebay for 488.00 and they were the 2 card packs. Dont they get wax on front and back? Are the 4 card packs wax packs or cello packs?

The 2 card packs typically have either wax or gum on both cards. $488 is a bit high as they typically go around $400-$420.

The 4 card packs are rare and IMO $15 is/was a steal.

I have a box full of 2 card packs. I bought 2 boxes a few years ago from Mark Murphy and I was so fed up after the first box that I put the second box on the shelf. I have never done that before image

Mike at touchdown treasures has very good pricing on the unopened 2 card packs and last I checked a box was $400 with him. I bought a box from him a few months ago and I guess his was stored better over the years than the other ones I had and several of the cards were wax free. I actually pulled a Haynes rc but it had a terribly cut upper right corner. The coalation of the boxes are terrible and one box yeilded 10 Curly Culps and 10 Golden Richards.

I like the set, but they are super tough in high grade and I don't think PSA knows how to grade them still. I sent in some absoulte blazers that came right out of the packs that got 6's and 7's.

I would be wary of unopened from D&A - I purchased a searched vending box from them awhile back.

Yes, but not at first. I understand how they might be apprehensive given the nature of vending boxes, but once I convinced them that I was positive the box was searched and repacked, they refunded my money - but basically told me next time I was on my own. So, the "next" time (and there's been many of those since then) I bought any unopened vintage items, it wasn't from them. I don't believe they intentionally did anything wrong (I don't think they searched the box), but who knows the source of their unopened material? And more importantly, I don't feel they stand behind the authenticity of what they sell.

  • I have never had any problems from them, in fact a couple of years ago they accidently double shipped 2 boxes of magic cards I won. I got 4 boxes. They told me just to keep the boxes and sent me a voucher for free shipping on my next order.

I purchased a 1970 opc bb graded pack and 1974 topps cello bb pk graded for 99.00 each and a 1980 topps bb wax tray for 35.00. Last time in vegas i blew that in a half hour. I have been very successful with D&A . Years ago I purchased a raw 1951 Bowman Pack that graded a 8.5. It was only a 1ct pack but got me some great trade stuff. Does anyone know If Mike from Touchdown Treasures still has Mexican boxes?. I dont seem to see any wax on his web site at all unless I have the wrong web site.

    Hi,

I just wanted to let everyone know I found a great site for a huge selection of 1977 Topps Mexicans. This site has virtually all the cards including boxes & SP's, VERY IMPRESSIVE! Please visit: www.touchdown-treasures.com Mike , is the owner and is very knowledgeable and has just a great assortment of other tough football material too.

a 70 opc baseball pack for 99 is a great price , before mastro gort a few boxes , these did not exist and it was assumed that the cards were packed in topps wrappers similar to pre 65. keep it for a few years and you will easily double your money imo. a 69 opc pack still has not shown up for sale. I know there are many who are curious if these were packed with topps wrappers as well since there aren't any wrappers floating around either.
