2006 Topps Alay Soler

Is this the series 2 Alex Gordon???

It is not on the checklists, but the card does exist.

  • Card back is RC1. I wonder if the Soler is part of a Mets Edition 2006 set. I know Topps did that in the past--Yankees and Houston editions last year--and I know they included 5 additional rookies in those sets...
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12

Somebody mentioned they only got 1 in 24 boxes opened. Here's one that finished recently...

Having been at the last game Soler pitched, I wouldn't count on him being around too long.

Always looking for 1957 Topps BB in PSA 9!
  • You had to figure Topps had to sell all those blaster boxes again for series 2...Rare card madness might be just enough fuel for Topps to have a breakout quarter!

  • According to a post on the Beckett board someone said Beckett emailed them stating there were between 500-1000 cards made. Bet that $100 price tag wont hold long!!

After the punding Soler took last night, I wouldn't jump the gun on this guy either. Who knows if he'll even be in the rotation down the stretch, once Bannister returns from the DL.
