First off, this is no major rip-off. It's all about a $ 3.75 including shipping card.
Thought I'd found a decent mid-grade card for one of my raw sets when I won the card pictured on the left.
Yesterday I received the card on the right.
I e-mailed that they sent the wrong card. They e-mailed back that it was the only one they had.
Can't understand how the logo went from clear to blurry or how the top border went from normal to barely there.
Know I should just toss it in the garbage and move on, but dammit it's the principle ...

BUT, there are VERY few members of this board - including I -
who do not KNOW that they assume the risk of being cheated
when they buy raw cards on scamBay.
I have probably bought 25 different lots of raw cards. Once or
twice, I did not throw them in the trash can when they arrived.
Sadly, it is not worth the time/effort to request a refund and
return the card. Corrupt sellers count on that being the case.

My kind of guy! Is that the classic bate and switch?
I'm with you on the principle thing - guys like that don't care if you ever buy from them again I guess, or they wouldn't do dumb stuff like that!
Does the auction say that's the card you will get or does it say in tiny print requiring a scanning EM - sample card or something?
If the guy didn't have the card - switching for a lesser version is bad business.
Some days it just doesn't pay to get out of bed...
Not worth mailing back...

I know he's just dying for 100 Pizza Hut pan pizzas!
Same thing happened to me last week.
I won a 1969 Street & Smith Baseball Year Book in an auction, for 40.00 and it looked great
in the ebay discription.
What I recieved in the mail from them was not the same magazine.
It wasn't even close.
Back it went, but what a pain in the ass!!
Seller's that try this must get bye with it ...... or they wouldn't do it.
Hard to believe.

Nope!
That's the first thing I checked after I opened the package and vomited.
Actually I still find decent raw cards on eBay. That's why I bid on the one in the scan.
You just have to be very selective
and not expect to get raw cards from the 1950's and 1960's that will grade out as PSA 9's.

When you see some of the stuff on eBay that gets bids
you have to conclude that lots of folks just don't care about condition.
That must be what some sellers are counting on.

did you win some of those from me a couple days ago? Ebay seller Ahmanfan. I had about 10 listed that were in the exmt to near mint range.
By the way, I know it sucks, but you still got a decent card. I would for sure not throw it away!
