1960 Gulf Oil Mickey Mantle Card

ever heard of this card? A guy at the show had about 18 different players Bob Gibson, Musial, Mays, Mantle some cartoon ones of RETIRED PLAYERS AT THE TIME, Gerhig, Wagner, Dimaggio, Ruth etc. It had alot of great players and a few scubs that must have been good in 1960?
I think 18 different cards but I bought the Mantle because it looks nice. It was two series and supposedly handed out at Gulf Oil when you filled up(a different player every week). He only had one set and I wish I bought them all! I think I could at the next show!

It says 1960 copyright on the back and it looks legit- It is a black and white card! It is a close up of him! I wish I had a scanner maybe I can get someone to scan it in for me(front and back) to get more info on it!

They're not real. According to the Standard Catalog (which calls them fantasy/fraud cards), they were first reported in the hobby in 1999. As you can see from the player selection, there's no way they were produced in 1960 or earlier (Bob Gibson and Sandy Koufax were less than household names at the time). Because the cards were illegally produced in violation of player rights and team copyrights, no value is given in the catalog.
