Toned 1925 Peace Dollar(Grade Revealed)

I have had this coin for a few years. It was won in a giveaway that Frattlaw had. It is graded by ANACS. What do you think they graded it?

MS62, but a really nice strike and a pretty reverse.

Surprised ANACS graded it with those scratches on the cheek though. Sword fight wth Horro, Zorro's cousin who makes an H instead of Z?

I think I see some scratches on Liberty's cheek and in the field in front of her face -- I'll guess MS60 details, scratched or graffitied.

It's an attractive coin nonetheless!

nice coin for sure the x on the cheek makes me think they net graded at ms61 otherwise its a nice 64 imo

Those are BIG images, and Peace Dollars (even those graded MS65 or MS66) almost always have noticeable abrasions. Regardless of what the actual grade turns out to be, based upon the images, I think that those of you who graded it less than MS62 are being way too harsh. My guess is MS63, though MS64 would not surprise me.

There was only close guess. ANACS graded it UNC Details Net MS60 Environmental Damage. In hand the coin is almost black but once you get it in the light the toning in the pics shows up.

Environmental damage? I wouldn't have guessed that. Is the coin corroded in some way, or does this reinforce those who claim that all toning is environmental damage?
