That's strange, 2 of the 1/4 oz coins is cheaper than 1 of the 1/2 oz. And 4 of the 1/4 oz are cheaper than a 1 oz. But 2 of the 1/2 oz is more expensive than the 1 oz.

This is cheaper then I thought they would be actually.....
At least the 1/10 oz piece I want is only $10 more.....
You know they wanted to price these so they would not have to deal with repricing these again and/or they know they will sellout at least the 1 oz pieces quickly.....
Collection under construction: VG Barber Quarters & Halves
I hate to have to admit when I was wrong - I've very surprised to see the AGE back up for sale from the mint. I do like the higher pricing, though. I wonder just how many of them they will sell with their adjusted pricing and the Buffalos coming out soon. This could still turn out to be a good year...
Could it be that the $100 bump in price for the 1oz is just a stepping stone to a potentially 4-digit pricing for the Buffalos..

Why not? The Buffalo is not intended to replace the AGE but will be in addition to it. So eventually we will have two sets of gold coins to buy. Remember, in the eye of the Mint, collectors are suckers and if you strike it, they will buy it.

$200 above spot, get lost, no ones buying that.

and you know it will be closer to $1K. They can keep their buffalo's and stick'em where they roam all day long.

Think I'll stick with 16 ouncers!
I think starting next year they are going to.....
Don't think that platinums are far behind, that is why I ordered the coin I wanted for my collection the other day.....
