Crossed an 1866-s No motto 50c from ANACS 45 to PCGS

    Very nice coin...love those 1866 No Motto Halves.

    There seems to be quite alot of detail for an XF 45. At first I thought the reverse looked AU 53. The obverse also seems like an AU 50-53. Very nice coin, indeed.

    Yes it would be an AU coin, if it weren't for the lack of luster in the field to the right of liberty's left arm. I believe that is why it was netted to a 45. None the less, I am happy with the coin.

    Also the coin has a rotated reverse, which I think is also cool.

    I would buy 45's like that all day long. Nice coin and I'm glad they crossed it for you.

    As the others have said, that one looks to have a lot more in common with AU than XF. Pretty nice look.

    Ill tell ya what,theres alot of value in early coins slabbed by Anacs

    i have tried to cross 3 or 4 to Pcgs as well as one Ngc and everyone has crossed at same grade !
