East Caribbean Territories

A new love for my want list; the 50 Cent piece of 1955, 1965. An incredibly monumental reverse. I would post a graphic, but I would not want to do so without permission.

Sometimes I find out about coins when I meet new people. Recently, my company closed down its Westchester and Manhattan offices. One employee who transferred to Melville, where I work, was from Grenada, so I looked into its coinage. Ships ahoy, mostly, but that 50 cent design while still a British territory; wow!

I had a 10 cent piece and 25 cent piece, but I think I gave them away. I've never seen a 50 cent piece.

Maybe it was the use of the word 'graphic', but for some reason I was expecting a naughty coin. That is a really nice coin, perhaps I can find a decent one for my OFEC collection imageimageimage.

When I was in my "buy anything" mode, I picked up a 1955 proof set for my "first year proof sets from commonwealth members" collection. I've narrowed down my focus since then. image
