10 sets for Topps and 10 sets for UD this year?

Did MLB limit the two companies to 10 sets each or 20 sets?

And, do we all know what sets will be included? For example, we know Topps will have:

1. Heritage
2. Topps Total
3. Opening Day
4. Topps Series 1 and 2
5. Finest
6. Updates and Season highlights
7. Bazooka
8. Bowman Heritage

etc...

Upper Deck will have:

1. Upper Deck
2. Fleer
3. Upper Deck First Pitch
etc....

It looks like they will each have 20 sets?

Comments

  • Well it looks like Topps would be finished then after Triple Threads and Co-Signers... but then they're also releasing Bowman, so that's 11... maybe it's 20 releases for each manufacturer? I think 15 releases each should be JUST enough. Maybe it would be nice to leave collectors wanting a bit, could drive up demand for older product image

Without looking at Topps' upcoming releases, there's going to be at least these: Chrome, All Time Fan Favorites, Allen & Ginter throwback set, Traded & Rookies.

  • then things just get crazy with Bowman, Bowman Chrome, Bowman Draft, Bowman Draft Chrome, etc.
  • the good old days with 3 companies and 3 total sets (maybe 6 total sets w/ a traded set thrown in)...then comes Upper Deck (I think they are personally responsible for about 50% of the rain forest decline)....
