What's up with this auction?
The guy is selling a fake, clearly states it's a fake, puts a reserve on this worthless piece of cardboard and won't take $150 for it. Is he trying to create a demand? All he (she) has ever done on ebay is buy a couple of Barbie toys.
The bids are probably phoney as well, but why? why? why?

For a reprint, the card is sure not centered well, among other things...

Do the other bidders have a "stake" in this?
Just wondering if they're hoping to reel in a "live one?"
Ya gotta love Ebay!

Ya gotta wonder if maybe some wives of baseball card collectors buy this stuff thinking that they are getting a nice birthday gift for their husbands?
looks like someone wiped their arse with it.
<< <i>Actually I've got no problem with this auction. There's no "hidden" implication whatsoever that it could be real. Of course he certainly exaggerates its value, but that is marketing 101. >>
Good points you make. S/he is being honest -- except maybe for the statements, "This card is in perfect mint condition..." and "Wagner reprints have sold on e-bay for anywhere between $500 and $700". Doing a search on completed eBay auctions show some going for $9.99 and one even went for $75.00, but nothing close to $500-700...

Yes, value overexagerrated for sure, and I took the "mint" statement as a novice explaining "mint" considering it's a very old baseball card - there was a clear scan of the card so the buyer would know what they are getting. The auction is an "honest rip-off" (oxymoron intentional )
