ANACS Moving 3-29-2006 !!!!!!!

Just hung up the phone with Christine (Director of Operations)......... The "Big Move" is tomorrow.......... She assured me that my coins will be transported by Brinks, and NOT in a U-Haul behind JT's car image Apparently yhere are still software glitches that are keeping my coins from being holdered properly image I'm SURE that the software problem will NOT be high priority in the near future........... Luckily, these aren't inventory coins, they're coins for my personal stash image

If you've got coins in at ANACS......... be prepared to wait image

  • ANACS has had my coin ~ 2 months. Just called them this morning to make sure they had it. (I had delivery confirmation on it, but it was taking so long, I was beginning to wonder.) The woman I talked to told me that it would be "another few weeks" before it was graded. Not fun.
If you haven't noticed, I'm single and miserable and I've got four albums of bitching about it that I would offer as proof.

I hope they told Idahogal where to show up to work. It would really suck if she showed up at the old location for her first day fo work.

I can't believe their website (at least on the submission area) didn't mention that! I sent them an express mail on 3/23 & it's been sitting at the P.O. in Austin up to now. They just said that they'll be picking up packages from the P.O. in Austin "this week". image

So much for the 5-day guarantee! image
  • Well, my first experience with ANACS is going to be the last. I am hardly well-off, I don't have many coins which exceed "widget" status, and they've had most of those for two months now. Probably 70% of the total liquid coin value of my collection is in this submission, and I'm dead in the water for acquiring new stuff until I can get them returned and auctioned.

This would be unconscionable conduct in any other business environment.

What's worse, this is my second poor experience with a "reputable" grading company. I attempted to join ICG's club last summer, and they don't appear capable of doing business online - at least, not with me.

It really rankles me to have to pay someone a hundred bucks just for the priviledge of doing business with them, and then pay the highest fees in the industry for their service. At my level, the sense of that is dubious at best, especially when I hear most of you folks complaining just as bitterly about PCGS' turnaround times as I am about ANACS. All I can say is, in the industry I work in, TPG's wouldn't last six months with that level of service.
