Economy Tier up to 60 days...

I piggy backed some coins along with one of the Hepkitty's submissions a while back and have watched in dismay as the projected turnaround time for Economy Tier submissions went from 30 days to 45 days to 60 days.

The thing that really kills me is that the coins were received into the PCGS system on 2/17/06 (38 days ago) and absolutely nothing has happened since.

How long can I realistically expect to wait to get these coins back?

    I had a few coins go in with hers and were entered on 2/8. The only thing we can do is keep waiting.

    2-14 here. It does kind of suck the time has doubled- they should go by the amount of days when the coins were recieved.

    Bet you a Starbucks (just kidding - no betting allowed in the forums!) you see grades or BB's posted by Friday, March 31!

    I stand by my theory that PCGS will want to make the "coins graded" numbers for the quarter.

    My piggyback with Hepcat's coins was logged in 2/24, grades posted today, 3/29. 15 coins, all moderns, no BB's.

    Told ya so about getting grades by 3/31!

    Modern submissions are always fast. Ive done two of those in the past year and both posted within 15 days.

    Economy is what slows everything down. Ive got an economy in with Lucy and it was entered on 2/8... still no grades image

    Isn't that 60 working days not counting shows?? Let's see, thats about 4 months??? sorry for both of us as I'm building up to a big sub that I would really like to get back this year. grumble, grumble.... Rob

    Last sumission at Long Beach Show on 2-9-06, PCGS "received" on 2-25-06. How is it PCGS took 16 days to receive a coin I submitted directly at a show?

    OK - I have 2 submissions to corroborate my end of the quarter theory:

    PCGS: Lucy Bop's 15 coin modern submission received 2/24, posted and shipped 3/29. No BB's. Of the 4 coins I saw, they were graded tight, maybe 2 coins undergraded by 1 point.

    NGC: My 7 coins, 4 early commems and 3 Peace dollars, received 2/22, posted 3/30. 2 BB's - 1 for AT on a 34-D Peace Dollar that was in my safety deposit box since 1980, 1 for improper cleaning on a gemmy York commem. Of the 5 slabs, 1 undergraded at AU58 - I call it 60-62. 4 coins I agree with the grades on.

    I got an Economy on 2/17 also. You just have to be patient.....It sucks, I know, but that is the way it is!
