Rob pulled this out of the bay years ago. I loved it then and it made its way to another member or two till I got a grip on it. The rev is just as nice and should go Cam if I resubmit.
I would LOVE to show some of my two cent pieces, but I just don't know how to go about it! I know that you have to post the pictures on another site (who? where?). Well, gosh, on top of that you've got to take some pretty good pictures.
Help me out here if I'm wrong, but I believe that the two cent piece is one of only three coins minted by the USA that does not have a person, liberty, or an animal. Those three are then the two cent, the silver three cent, and the V nickel.
To me, this two cent piece is one of the most attractive coins. Too bad it wasn't struck in gold as the detail in the shield and leaves would be spectacular. It's so frustrating trying to find really nice RED examples because you know that, over time, they will become RED/BROWN -- or WORSE!
I sure wish there was a two cent discussion group through Yahoo or somewhere!

I got to image that one for a forum member recently. Damned tough coin to capture. It was a nice challenge.

Welcome.
I think you mean the shield nickel.
The best way to get a discussion started is to share your collection. Post some pics and tell us what you like about your coins.
