If one submits coins at $100 a pop for grading during a show and the coins don't get graded , are they returned to the submitter ungraded or sent back home to Newport Beach and moved to the head of the line?

Whenever they are not returned at the show, PCGS takes them home, and then ships them back with no shipping cost (as appropriate, of course).
I can't complain too much - I'd rather they take their time and get it right.

Almost always are all the show graded coins finished before the processing and grading staff head home from the show. In the (very) unlikely event that not all coins are finished at the show the coins get shipped back to Santa Ana and get finished there as soon as possible. I've only had the latter scenario happen to me one time.

Anybody can demand anything, but having them actually honor your demands is another matter.

I had a similar order take more than one week, and I didn't get free shipping on that order either.
